Publication Ethics

This statement clarifies ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing an article in our journals, including the authors, the editors, the peer-reviewers and the publisher (Engineering Faculty at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa TimurInternational Journal of Eco-Innovation in Science and Engineering (IJEISE) is a peer-reviewed international journal. This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Ethical Guideline for Journal Publication

An article publication in a peer-reviewed International Journal of Eco-Innovation in Science and Engineering (IJEISE) is significant to develop and respect the network of knowledge. It is an reflection of the author’s work quality which is supported by the institution. Peer-reviewed articles support and actualize the scientific method. IJEISE agree on standard of expected ethical behavior for all parties included in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewed, the publisher and the society.

Engineering Faculty of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa TImur as publisher of IJEISE: International Journal of Eco-Innovation in Science and Engineering seriously takes its duty to guard in every stages of publishing. We commit and ensure that any kind of advertising, reprint or commercial revenue will not impact or influence on editorial decision as our ethical and responsibility act. Therefore, Engineering Faculty of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur and IJEISE’s editorial board will assist to communicate with other journal and/or publisher where this is required and necessary.

Publication decisions

IJEISE: International Journal of Eco-Innovation in Science and Engineering editor has responsibility to decide the articles submitted to be published in our journal. The validation and its significant topic/issue for researchers and readers will drive us to make the decision. The editor will be guided by the journal’s editorial board policies and constrained by such legal requirements which are regarding libel, copyright and plagiarism. Editor will deliberate with reviewer to make the decision.

 

  1. Fair play

Editor will evaluate the manuscripts professionally for their intellectual content without relate it with race, gender, politic, ethnic, religious or any other issue of the authors.

  1. Confidentiality

Editor should not disclose any information about submitted article to anyone except to correspondent author, reviewer, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

  1. Disclosure and conflicts of interest

Editor will not take an advantage for the unpublished manuscript without the author’s intended

Duties of Reviewers

  1. Contribution to Editorial Decisions

Peer review will assist the editorial team to make decisions and may also assist the authors to improve their article through editorial communication with the authors.

  1. Promptness

Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to review the manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

  1. Confidentiality

Any manuscript should be treated as confidential documents. Author could not discuss the manuscript with other expert except with author’s intended.

  1. Objectivity Standards

Reviewers must be objectively in reviewing the manuscript and avoid personal criticism. Reviewers should express their opinion clearly with supporting arguments about the content of the manuscript.

  1. Source Acknowledgement

Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any citation in manuscript must be cited in references.  A reviewer must call the editor to get the attention if they find any any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript and other publish paper.

  1. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest

Reviewer must keep their confidential about privileged information or ideas to the manuscript and do not use it for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscript based on their interest or connection.

Duties of Authors

  1. Reporting standards

Author should present their actual data about their manuscript based on their objective discussion of its significance.  A manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.

  1. Data Access and Retention

Author should provide the raw data related to the article for editorial review and provide public access to such data (consistent with the ALPSP-STM Statement on Data and Databases). Therefore, Author should be prepared to retain such data in any event for a reasonable time after publication.

  1. Originality and Plagiarism

The authors should ensure that they have done their original works entirely. The statement must be quoted or cited appropriately and mention the reference.

  1. Multiple, Redundant or Concurrent Publication

Author should not submit and publish the same manuscript in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same article in more than one publication is unacceptable and concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior.

  1. Sources Acknowledgement

The acknowledgment of the work must be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the reported work.

  1. Authorship of the Paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors. Other participants in certain substantive aspects of the research project should be acknowledged as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors and no inappropriate co-authors are included on the paper. All co-authors should approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission for publication.

  1. Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

The author must identify and mention if their work involves any usual hazards toward a chemical, animals, human procedures or equipment in their use clearly in the manuscript..

  1. Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

Author must disclose any financial or other substantive interest that might influence the result or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support must be disclosed in their manuscript.

  1. Fundamental errors in published works

If the author find any significant in error in their published article, it will be the responsible for the Author to communicate with the editorial team to retract and correct the article.
