Post-Publication Discussions

The International Journal of Eco-Innovation in Science and Engineering (IJEISE) actively encourages rigorous academic discourse regarding its published literature. The journal is committed to promptly amending the scholarly record when necessary, operating in strict adherence to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Scholarly Commentary and Debate

Readers are invited to submit evidence-based comments, inquiries, or constructive critiques regarding published articles to the editorial office via the journal’s Contact portal. All correspondence must maintain a professional, scholarly, and respectful tone. The Editor-in-Chief will forward substantive critiques to the corresponding author, granting them the opportunity to provide a formal rebuttal. Should a commentary offer a significant contribution to the scientific discourse, IJEISE reserves the right to publish both the critique and the authors' response as a 'Letter to the Editor' in a forthcoming issue.

Allegations of Misconduct and Post-Publication Concerns

Allegations concerning potential methodological errors, plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, redundant publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or authorship disputes are processed in accordance with IJEISE’s Allegations of Misconduct Policy. The editorial board will acknowledge receipt of such concerns, conduct a confidential and thorough investigation, and engage with the involved authors and, if warranted, their affiliated academic institutions to resolve the matter.

Post-Publication Editorial Notices

Contingent upon the findings of an investigation, IJEISE may issue one of the following formal notices. Each notice will be openly accessible and permanently bidirectionally linked to the original article:

  • Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum): Issued for genuine errors that do not fundamentally invalidate the core research findings. An Erratum is published to rectify errors introduced during the publisher's production and typesetting process, whereas a Corrigendum addresses errors originating from the authors.
  • Expression of Concern: Issued when a complex investigation remains ongoing or when evidence of potential misconduct is substantial but currently inconclusive, alerting readers to potential issues with the manuscript.
  • Retraction: Issued when a manuscript's core findings are deemed unreliable due to severe computational or experimental errors, scientific misconduct, pervasive plagiarism, or redundant publication. In alignment with IJEISE's Retraction Policy, the original document remains accessible in the digital archive but is prominently watermarked as "RETRACTED" on every page. A formal retraction notice explicitly detailing the rationale will be published alongside the article.

Maintenance of the Version of Record

IJEISE strictly prohibits the silent or undisclosed alteration of published manuscripts. Any post-publication modifications to the Version of Record are executed exclusively through the issuance of a formal editorial notice, accompanied by corresponding updates to the article's digital metadata in the Crossref database.

Author Responsibilities Post-Publication

Should authors identify a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published manuscript, it is their ethical obligation to promptly notify the journal's Editor-in-Chief. Authors must fully cooperate with the editorial board to either issue an appropriate correction or, if necessary, retract the paper to preserve the integrity of the scientific record.
